LOS ANGELES (AP) – Tragedy struck in downtown Los Angeles when former “General Hospital” actor Johnny Wactor was fatally shot while interrupting thieves attempting to steal the catalytic converter from his car. The incident took place around 3 a.m. on Saturday, as confirmed by the Los Angeles Police Department.
Wactor, 37, had just finished work at a rooftop bar with a coworker when he noticed individuals near his vehicle and mistakenly believed it was being towed.
