Akron, Ohio – An 18-year-old man from Akron, Ohio, is facing charges in connection with two deadly shootings that occurred months apart in 2023. Darrin Welch is accused of being involved in the August drive-by shooting that resulted in the death of Antenio Louis. Louis was killed when a second vehicle pulled in front of his car on East Glenwood Avenue and opened fire, also injuring the driver traveling with him. Welch has been charged with murder and felonious assault in this case.
Welch is not the only person facing charges related to Antenio Louis’ death. Ahmere Williams has been charged with aggravated murder, murder, felonious assault, and multiple firearm and criminal gang activity specifications. Additionally, Myka Hill faces charges of tampering with evidence and obstructing justice in relation to the case.
In another incident, Welch is also charged for his involvement in the shooting death of Marvin Rocker, 18, who was killed in a shootout on March 12, 2023. The incident took place in the area of South Arlington Street and Lovers Lane, where multiple unidentified individuals were involved in the shootout. Rocker was found dead with a gunshot wound to the chest the following morning in a parking lot on Lovers Lane.
Attorney John Alexander is representing Welch in both cases. Welch is facing two counts of murder and felonious assault in connection with Marvin Rocker’s death.
