Arrest Made in Decade-Old Homicide and Rape Case in Hilltown Township: Thomas Delgado Charged With Multiple Offenses

HILLTOWN TOWNSHIP, Pa. – A man has been arrested a decade after allegedly breaking into a home in Pennsylvania, stealing money and guns, tying up the family, and sexually assaulting the girlfriend. The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office announced the arrest of 50-year-old Thomas Delgado, who appeared in court on charges of criminal homicide, rape, robbery, burglary, kidnapping, criminal conspiracy, and other related charges in connection with the victim’s death.

The arrest came almost exactly 10 years to the day of the incident in 2013. Delgado and another man allegedly entered the victim’s residence and bound the girlfriend and his 12-year-old son before ransacking the house. The district attorney’s office alleges Delgado also raped the victim’s girlfriend. The woman and the son managed to escape and call the police, who found the victim deceased inside the garage with multiple stab wounds.

Delgado and the other suspect reportedly stole the victim’s truck, which was found abandoned at a mall. Detectives located a pair of gardening gloves close to the truck, which led to the discovery of DNA evidence belonging to an unknown male. Officials also found 11 cell phones at the victim’s home, with only eight of them working.

Detectives later found a black mask with Delgado’s DNA in the stolen pickup truck. In late 2022, they managed to open 10 of the 11 cell phones and found communication between the victim and Delgado. Delgado is currently being held without bail in Bucks County Jail.
