Athens, Georgia – An arrest has been made by Athens-Clarke County Police in connection with the tragic shooting that took the life of 3-year-old Kyron Zarcos at a mobile home park. Julian Omar Cubillos, 17, of Lawrenceville, has been taken into custody for the alleged murder. Cubillos faces charges of malice murder, felony murder, four counts of aggravated assault, and violation of the Georgia Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act.
Police have also issued arrest warrants for 16-year-old Jayden Brown and 18-year-old Dakious Echols, both facing similar charges in relation to the incident. A $2,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the apprehension of Brown and Echols, with individuals encouraged to provide anonymous tips by calling 706-775-4775.
The tragic event unfolded at the Hallmark Mobile Home Park on Spring Valley Road, not far from Athens Ben-Epps Airport. Upon arriving at the scene, authorities discovered three individuals had been shot, including two children. While the adult and one child sustained non-life-threatening injuries, tragically, Kyron Zarcos succumbed to his injuries.
