Pinnacle, N.C. — Authorities have apprehended a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred last week on Robert C. Kellam Road. The Stokes County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 30-year-old Dorin Monte Johnson on Wednesday without any incidents.
Sheriff Joey Lemons indicated that while the details surrounding the arrest are limited, deputies located Johnson based on investigative leads. The shooting, which took place on February 10, claimed the life of 33-year-old Cindy Banks from Michigan, leaving another individual injured.
Johnson now faces charges of murder and is being held at the Stokes County Jail without bond. His initial court appearance is scheduled for Thursday, where further proceedings will take place.
