LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Two individuals have been taken into custody on charges of murder and other offenses related to a shooting at a homeless encampment in Las Vegas last December. The incident resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left three others injured, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Police have not disclosed a motive for the deadly shooting that took place on December 1st at a location near the east Las Vegas neighborhood. Cristobal Perez, 31, and Kylee Au Young, 21, were both arrested on Thursday in connection with the shooting, as confirmed by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
According to Police Lt. Jason Johansson, the shooting was deemed a “targeted attack” following a dispute involving Perez and a relative in the area. Both Perez and Au Young have been booked on multiple counts of open murder and attempted murder, with Au Young also facing a charge of conspiracy to commit murder.
