WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Two men and a woman were arrested for the fatal shooting of a 33-year-old man who had just delivered pizza to a birthday party. The victim, identified as Tommie Anderson III, was found shot and later died at the hospital. Police responded to the scene and discovered Anderson had been shot after completing a pizza delivery in the area. Investigators believe the shooting is not related to the party where he dropped off the pizzas.
The suspects, 25-year-old Elijsha Wingfield, 25-year-old Avianna Williams, and 29-year-old Marcus Williams, were arrested on charges of first-degree murder with a firearm. Surveillance video showed a white Honda with a “unique dent” on the rear door of the driver’s side, and one of the individuals in the car was reportedly wearing a “round hockey-styled mask.”
According to the arrest affidavit, Wingfield and Marcus Williams had weapons in their possession. The affidavit also alleged that Avianna Williams drove the Honda and Wingfield saw Anderson near his car, leading to the confrontation. Wingfield admitted to robbery, claiming he was expecting a paycheck which he did not receive.
The victim, Anderson, was the father of two young children and had only been working for the pizza delivery company for two days. His father, Tommie Anderson Jr., expressed that his son was simply trying to make ends meet for his family.
In a tragic turn of events, an innocent man lost his life while simply doing his job. The alleged perpetrators are now facing serious charges for their actions, and the family of the victim is left to mourn the loss of their loved one.
