Birmingham, Alabama – Seven individuals have been arrested and charged with murder in connection to the tragic death of a 20-year-old Alabama mother, Mahogany Jaquise Jackson. According to Birmingham police, Jackson was kidnapped and sexually assaulted, with her ordeal captured on video.
Jackson was reported missing after her mother and sister received a distressing message from her on Facebook Messenger, indicating she was being held hostage. Despite providing her location at Serenity Apartments in Birmingham’s Powderly community, Jackson was not found by the police upon arrival.
After an intense investigation, Jackson’s body was discovered by authorities with the help of the public, revealing that she had been fatally shot. Police revealed that Jackson and the seven suspects were acquainted with each other.
The suspects, identified as Giovonnie Clapp, Blair Green, Si’nya McCall, Jeremiah McDowell, Brandon Pope, Francis Harris, and Teja Lewis, faced various charges ranging from felony murder to sodomy and assault. They are currently being held without bond.
Birmingham Police Chief Scott Thurmon refrained from divulging specific details about Jackson’s abduction but mentioned that she was taken to multiple locations, where the suspects recorded the disturbing sexual assault.
