Cambridge, Maryland – An arrest was made following a violent incident on May 30, where a Cambridge man allegedly assaulted another individual. The altercation took place around 10:21 PM in the 400 block of Willis Street, as reported by the Cambridge Police Department.
Responding to reports of a physical disturbance, officers arrived at the scene and spoke to a witness and the victim. They recounted an account where Marco Ray Wilkes, a 42-year-old resident of Cambridge, MD, had reportedly strangled and struck the victim several times.

Wilkes was then transported to the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center for treatment before being processed at the Cambridge Police Department.
Following his initial court appearance, Wilkes was detained without bond at the Dorchester County Department of Corrections.
