Indianapolis, Indiana – A tragic incident unfolded at a crowded Indianapolis bar over the weekend, resulting in the death of one individual and the serious injury of five others. Nicholas Fulk, 25, has been charged with murder, three counts of aggravated battery, two counts of battery with a deadly weapon, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon in connection with the shooting.
During an initial hearing, a judge appointed a public defender to represent Fulk, who is currently being held without bond at the Marion County Jail. The prosecutor’s office revealed that the shooting at Landsharks in the Broad Ripple entertainment district claimed the life of 36-year-old Timothy Brown Jr. and left five others with severe gunshot wounds.
According to witness accounts, an argument between two females escalated into the fatal shooting inside the bar. Security footage from the establishment reportedly shows a male retrieving a gun from a female upon entering the club and later firing the weapon as he made his way towards the door. Following the shooting, the male, identified as Fulk by a witness, fled the scene with the female and escaped in a car.
The Marion County Public Defender Agency refrained from commenting on the charges against Fulk. A pretrial conference is scheduled for April 17 to further address the case. The tragic incident has left the community in shock as authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting and work towards delivering justice for the victims.
