CORONADO, CA – A tragic incident unfolded near a popular resort in Coronado when a car plunged into the San Diego Bay, resulting in the driver’s death. Authorities have confirmed that the vehicle, a Ford Mustang, was pulled from the waters near the Loews Coronado Bay Resort after it crashed and sank.
Emergency responders arrived swiftly, with divers entering the bay shortly after the incident was reported. Despite their rapid response, the sole occupant of the car, a woman, was found deceased. Attempts to revive her with CPR were unsuccessful, as she had been submerged for approximately 30 to 40 minutes.
