Assistant Police Chief Patricia Cantu described the situation as disordered and alarming during a briefing, noting that officers found multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds both inside and outside the residence.
Initial investigations indicate that the shooting was triggered by a party crasher who reacted violently after being denied entry. “A family celebration turned tragic when an uninvited individual was asked to leave, which led to the shooting,” Cantu explained. The aftermath of the violent outbreak saw armed attendees return fire, further complicating the scene.
