DALLAS — Singer Chris Brown and his associates are being sued for $50 million by four individuals who claim they were assaulted following one of Brown’s concerts. The lawsuit, submitted in a Texas court on July 22, alleges that the victims suffered severe beatings that necessitated medical attention, with one individual requiring hospitalization.
The plaintiffs, Larry Parker, Joseph Lewis, Charles Bush, and Da Marcus Powell, said they were invited backstage after attending Brown’s performance as part of his “11:11” tour. After waiting approximately half an hour for Brown, the group decided to leave, which is when the confrontation reportedly began.
According to the court documents, Brown recognized Bush and immediately recalled a previous disagreement. It is alleged that this recognition triggered a violent response from Brown and his entourage, who followed Bush and his friends into the hallway.
The documents detail a gruesome scene in which Brown and his associates purportedly launched into a physical assault. Bush reported that an entourage member, referred to only as Hood Boss, hurled a chair at his head. Meanwhile, Parker was purportedly trapped in a stairwell where he was subjected to a brutal ten-minute attack, involving being kicked, punched, and stomped.
Additionally, the lawsuit claims that Powell and Lewis were both struck in the shoulder, with Lewis also getting punched in the chest. The degree of the alleged violence was such that immediate medical treatment was sought out by all four plaintiffs. Parker’s injuries were severe enough that he was hospitalized and is said to face extensive medical treatment to recover.
Following the alleged assault, the four men filed for a temporary restraining order against Brown and his crew, besides seeking financial compensation for their medical bills and emotional stress.
