Port Moody, Canada – Authorities are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying two teenagers linked to a violent assault outside a local liquor store on January 22, 2025. The incident occurred when a bystander tried to confront the teens as they allegedly attempted to steal alcohol.
The assault happened at approximately 5:45 p.m. at an undisclosed liquor shop in the Inlet Centre area. A man in his 50s intervened to prevent one of the teenagers from taking a product from the store, which led to a physical confrontation outside the establishment.
According to Constable Sam Zacharias of the Port Moody Police Department, the teens attacked the man, hitting him on the head, which resulted in a concussion. The Good Samaritan’s efforts to stop the theft turned violent, prompting a response from law enforcement officials.
Despite the quick response from store staff who contacted authorities, the police were unable to locate the suspects immediately following the incident. The description of the suspects has been released in hopes that members of the community can help in the identification process. The suspects are both late teenagers, Caucasian, with one described as having dark shaggy hair and the other short light brown hair. Notably, one was seen wearing a unique hoodie adorned with yellow markings.
In their effort to gather more leads, the Port Moody Police have released images of the suspects. “We are turning to the public to help us identify these suspects,” Zacharias commented, underscoring the role community members might play in resolving the case.
