Friends recalled Suniga as a brotherly figure who often put others’ needs before his own. Robert Mandell, a close friend, reflected on their plans for a joyful evening at the concert, describing it as a family event filled with laughter and happiness. “I’m just glad at least our last moments together we were having a lot of fun,” Mandell said, struggling to comprehend the tragedy that quickly followed their shared enjoyment.
Investigators report that the shooting erupted after an argument escalated between attendees. Eyewitness video captured the moments leading up to the chaos, showing the confrontation before multiple gunshots rang out. Mandell disclosed that Suniga tried to intervene in the conflict, ultimately saving someone else’s life before he became a victim himself. “There’s a lot of things running through my mind.
