ANGLETON, Texas – Angleton Police Department has provided new details regarding a tragic active shooter incident that took place on Monday. The incident resulted in the deaths of 37-year-old Devin Murrell and 66-year-old Darla Murrell, who were airlifted to a Houston hospital for urgent care but later succumbed to their injuries.
The shooting occurred at around 8:20 a.m. in the 900 block of South Velasco Street. Upon arrival at the scene, authorities found the victims and learned that the suspect, identified as 35-year-old Bradley Jones, had fled.
Jones was later apprehended without incident at County Beach and is currently in custody at the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office facing two counts of murder.
