Columbia, SC – A deadly shooting at a Midlands apartment complex in South Carolina resulted in the deaths of two men early Wednesday morning, authorities reported. The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is currently investigating the incident, which has shaken the local community.
According to Sheriff Leon Lott, the gunfire erupted shortly after midnight. Deputies responded swiftly to emergency calls and arrived at the scene to find two males with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save them, both victims were pronounced dead at the location.
“This was a tragic event, and we are working tirelessly to gather all the facts and find those responsible,” Lott stated during a press conference.
