Early Morning Disturbance in Northeast Portland Ends in Tragedy: One Man Dead, Another Arrested for Murder

PORTLAND, Ore. — A man was found dead early Sunday morning, leading to the arrest of another man in connection with the incident, according to the Portland Police Bureau. Officers were dispatched to a residence near Northeast Winona Street and Northeast Claremont Avenue just before 4 a.m. in response to reports of a disturbance.

Upon arrival, authorities discovered a deceased man inside the home. Details regarding the cause of death have not yet been disclosed, and an investigation is underway to gather more information.

The suspect, identified as 31-year-old Devonte T. Gibson, was detained at the scene. Following the initial investigation, he was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon.
