Energy Drink Controversy: Dunkin’ Launches Sparkd’ Line with Fruity Flavors

Boston, Massachusetts – Dunkin’ is set to unveil its new line of caffeinated energy drinks called Sparkd’ Energy, the company announced on Wednesday. This new line of fizzy beverages will feature various fruit flavors infused with vitamins, minerals, and caffeine to provide customers with a refreshing boost.

In addition to the Sparkd’ drinks, Dunkin’ will be introducing other limited-time menu items like churro donuts and breakfast empanadas, all of which will be available nationwide. Despite multiple attempts to reach out to Dunkin’ for comment, there has been no response as of yet.

The caffeine content of Dunkin’s Sparkd’ Energy drinks is listed at 192 mg in a large serving, just below half of the recommended daily limit for adults according to nutrition information provided. This release comes as the brand aims to cater to customers who seek a balanced blend of flavor and energy in their beverages.

Meanwhile, Panera Bread has faced scrutiny over its highly caffeinated Charged Lemonade drinks, which have been linked to a series of lawsuits alleging severe physical harm and even death. These lawsuits claim that the drink’s caffeine content led to cardiac arrests resulting in fatalities, along with permanent heart issues in other cases.

Although Panera Bread has added warnings about the product both in-store and online, the availability of the Charged Lemonade drinks remains unchanged. As one of the lawsuits against Panera Bread was recently denied dismissal by a judge, it suggests that these legal battles may persist for some time before reaching a resolution.
