DELAND, Fla. – A Florida man has filed a lawsuit against Dunkin’ Donuts after an incident that left him covered in urine and feces. According to the plaintiff, the man was using the restroom at a Dunkin’ Donuts location in the city of DeLand when the toilet exploded, causing him significant harm.
The lawsuit alleges that the incident occurred due to a buildup of pressure in the sewer line connected to the restaurant. The plaintiff claims he suffered physical injuries, emotional distress, and financial losses as a result of the explosion.
The plaintiff’s attorney stated that the incident has had a lasting impact on his client’s life and that the lawsuit aims to hold Dunkin’ Donuts accountable for the negligence that led to the explosion.
In response to the lawsuit, Dunkin’ Donuts stated that they take the safety and well-being of their customers and crew very seriously and that they are cooperating with the authorities to investigate the incident.
The lawsuit seeks compensation for the plaintiff’s medical expenses, pain and suffering, and other related damages. Dunkin’ Donuts has not provided any further comments on the ongoing legal matter.
