Marion, Iowa – A tragic incident in rural Marion, Iowa, has claimed the lives of four individuals following a brutal attack at an outbuilding. Authorities found three individuals deceased at the scene, while 34-year-old Brent Anthony Brown was discovered alive but critically injured.
Brown was rushed to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries on Friday. The suspect, 34-year-old Luke Truesdell, has been charged with a fourth count of first-degree murder in connection with the incident.
Truesdell allegedly admitted to hitting the victims with a metal pipe when questioned by Linn County Sheriff’s deputies. Following Brown’s passing, his body will be undergoing an autopsy at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Ankeny. Truesdell is slated to make an initial court appearance on the new charge on Monday morning.
