CANTON, OH – A weekend shooting has left the Canton community in shock as they mourn the death of 19-year-old Braylon Foster. The young man’s life was tragically cut short in an incident that has left many searching for answers.
Braylon’s mother, Erica Foster, is struggling to comprehend the loss of her son, who was shot and killed inside Clips Barbershop. Described as a vibrant and loving individual, Braylon had recently graduated from McKinley High School and was beginning to navigate adulthood with a new job.
The barbershop owner dialed 911 to report the shooting, which involved barber Deontay McCollum, 25, who is now facing murder charges. While the motive remains unclear, McCollum reportedly left the scene after the shooting.
