Indianapolis, Indiana – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred on Friday evening and resulted in the death of one man.
IMPD officers were called to the 8900 block of Autumn Woods Drive around 7:30 p.m. in response to a report of a person who had been shot. Upon arrival, they discovered a man with a gunshot wound in critical condition. Despite being rushed to a local hospital, the individual succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
At this time, it remains unclear whether several individuals who were detained have any involvement in the shooting. The Marion County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity once the family has been notified.
