Philadelphia, PA – A deadly exchange of gunfire in a supermarket parking lot in Philadelphia’s Frankford area claimed the life of a young man late Thursday night. Authorities report that emergency responders arrived on scene shortly after 10:30 p.m. to find a male, believed to be in his late teens or early 20s, deceased from gunshot wounds to the head and face.
The incident unfolded in the ShopRite parking lot located at the intersection of Harbison Avenue and Tulip Street, where police discovered a firearm and 10 shell casings near the victim’s body. According to Small, the preliminary investigation suggests the confrontation might have involved three individuals meeting the victim, leading to all parties drawing their weapons. During the ensuing gunfire, the victim was fatally injured and collapsed on the spot.
