Florida Teen Allegedly Murders Boy at Sleepover in Brutal, Preplanned Attack

Wildwood, Florida – A tragic incident unfolded at a home in Wildwood, Florida, where a 15-year-old boy was fatally stabbed and an adult was injured during an ambush at a sleepover. The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of a teenage boy in connection with the violent attack that occurred just after 10 p.m on Saturday.

Authorities revealed that the 15-year-old victim, identified as Connor Michael Gill, was hosting a sleepover when the suspect, 16-year-old Alexander Warren Hernandez, arrived unannounced and forced his way into the residence, wielding a knife. Hernandez proceeded to stab Gill and then threatened another victim before attacking an adult who intervened.

Following the attack, Hernandez attempted to flee on foot but was swiftly apprehended with the assistance of the sheriff’s office helicopter. Shockingly, officials discovered that he was still in possession of the murder weapons at the time of his arrest.

Both victims were airlifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, but unfortunately, Gill succumbed to his injuries while the adult victim remained hospitalized. Hernandez was subsequently charged with premeditated first-degree murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and armed burglary.

Authorities disclosed that both the suspect and the victim had withdrawn from Sumter County Schools and were being homeschooled. Undersheriff Pat Breeden described the attack as premeditated and targeted, detailing how Hernandez had ordered the weapons online and traveled miles to carry out the assault.

As the investigation continues, officials are considering additional charges against Hernandez, while working to ascertain the motive behind the deadly ambush. Despite the tragic outcome, Breeden offered condolences to the families of the victims, emphasizing the violent and premeditated nature of the attack.

As the community grapples with this senseless act of violence, our thoughts and prayers remain with the families affected by this heartbreaking incident.
