MELBOURNE, Australia — Orpheus Pledger, formerly known for his role on the soap opera “Home and Away,” has pled guilty to a violent assault on a woman that took place in March. The actor, who gained fame as Mason Morgan in the show from 2016 to 2019, made his court appearance through a video link from custody. He had been detained following a violation of his bail conditions in April.
The incident came to light when the victim called emergency services expressing concerns about Pledger’s mental health. During the call, she abruptly said, “he’s coming,” before the line went dead. When police arrived on the scene, they found the woman with severe bruises on her head and hand, facial lacerations, and signs indicative of strangulation.
