Austin, Texas — Four teenagers have been charged with capital murder in connection with the fatal shooting of InfoWars reporter Jamie White, the Austin Police Department announced Thursday. The arrests follow a thorough investigation into the incident, which took place on the night of March 9, when White was shot outside his apartment complex.
Authorities identified the 17-year-old suspect, Rodney Charles Hill, as having a troubling piece of evidence—a recording on his phone featuring a rap song that allegedly references the shooting. During a press conference, Lead Detective Jason Jones confirmed Hill’s arrest on Tuesday. Another 17-year-old, Eloy Adrian Camarillo, was apprehended on April 30 in connection with the case.
Two additional suspects, both 15 years old, were arrested on May 5 and May 20, respectively. Their names are withheld due to juvenile status. Law enforcement officials stated that all four suspects are from the Austin area.
Police discovered White’s body in the parking lot of his apartment complex, where he was found bleeding from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries the following day. Investigators reported finding an expandable baton and a 9mm bullet casing at the crime scene, leading them to believe that White may have been attempting to thwart an attempted car theft when he was shot.

White was well-known for his controversial work at InfoWars, a site notorious for disseminating inflammatory narratives. Alex Jones, the founder of InfoWars, described White as “his best writer” following the tragedy and promised that justice would be served for the violent act. Just before his death, White had authored pieces on sensitive subjects, including a contentious debate on the implications of a parliamentary inquiry into issues involving sexual violence.
