Franklin Co. Suspects in Custody After Violent Juvenile Attack

Waynesboro, Pennsylvania – Authorities have arrested an 18-year-old suspect, Kendill Raleigh, following a violent assault that left a juvenile severely beaten and bloodied in Franklin County on May 12. Raleigh, along with two other juvenile suspects, was taken into custody by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office on May 20.

Police responded to reports of an assault on a juvenile, aged between 12 and 15 years old, in the 100 block of East North Street. The victim was found lying in the street, bruised and bleeding from the head, in a state of confusion.

Emergency medical services determined that the victim required transportation to Hershey Medical Center due to the severity of their injuries. Video evidence obtained during the police investigation identified additional suspects involved in the brutal attack.

Authorities witnessed Raleigh and two other juveniles hiding in bushes before ambushing the victim, repeatedly punching, kicking, and stomping on them. The victim was left motionless and unconscious on the ground after the vicious assault, during which the attackers forcibly removed the victim’s clothing.

The victim sustained facial and head injuries from the attack, with their current condition and the extent of the injuries unknown as they receive treatment at Hershey Medical Center. Raleigh is now facing multiple charges, including aggravated assault, robbery, and reckless endangerment.

All suspects have been apprehended, with efforts underway to extradite Raleigh and another suspect from Maryland to Pennsylvania. The investigation into this disturbing incident continues as authorities seek justice for the victim and hold those responsible accountable for their actions.
