Authorities identified the victim as 33-year-old Domincio Fuhrtz and said no arrests had been made.
WINSLOW TOWNSHIP, N.J. — A 33-year-old man died Wednesday after police found him with a gunshot wound inside a parked vehicle in a Winslow Township neighborhood, according to county prosecutors and local police.
Officers responded to the unit block of Bromley Court at about 2:03 p.m. following a report that someone had been shot. They located Domincio Fuhrtz of Winslow Township inside the vehicle and arranged for him to be taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden.
Fuhrtz was pronounced dead at about 3:01 p.m., roughly an hour after officers were sent to the scene. Authorities did not release information about the number of times he was shot or whether he was conscious when police arrived.
Detectives from the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Winslow Township Police Department are jointly investigating the death. No arrests had been announced as of Thursday, and authorities had not identified a suspect.
Investigators also had not disclosed what may have led to the shooting. Officials released no information about a possible motive, whether Fuhrtz knew the person responsible or how long the vehicle had been parked on Bromley Court before police were called.
Police secured part of the residential street as investigators examined the area Wednesday afternoon. Evidence markers were placed near the passenger side of a black SUV, and investigators collected items from the scene before the vehicle was removed by a tow truck.
Officers also spoke with residents and checked the surrounding neighborhood during the investigation. Several homes in the area appeared to have doorbell or exterior security cameras that could help detectives establish what happened before and after the shooting.

The investigation remained active Thursday. Prosecutors had not announced any arrests, identified a possible suspect or released additional details about the circumstances surrounding Fuhrtz’s death.
