Hammer-Wielding Youth Gang Assaults Two in Bronx Tattoo Parlor Robbery

New York, NY — A violent robbery occurred inside a Bronx tattoo parlor this past summer, where a group of six young women brutally attacked two individuals with a hammer and fists, authorities reported. The incident unfolded at Flow Gangsta Tattoo located on Third Avenue near East 152nd Street in the Mott Haven neighborhood just before 9 a.m. on August 17.

According to police, the attackers targeted a 29-year-old male initially, striking him on the arm with a hammer, then proceeding to punch him in the face. The assault continued when the group turned their aggression towards a 41-year-old woman. They battered her with the same hammer, causing more severe injuries, and then robbed her of her cellphone and credit card.

The injured woman was subsequently transported to Lincoln Medical Center and is reported to be in stable condition following the attack. The male victim, on the other hand, suffered less severe injuries and did not require hospitalization.

Details about whether the victims were employees or patrons of the tattoo studio at the time of the incident remain unclear, as police have not verified their connections to the establishment.

In response to the attacks, the New York Police Department has been actively seeking the suspects, believed to be in their late teens to early twenties based on surveillance images released last Thursday. These images show the young women who are still at large and considered dangerous.

The NYPD has urged anyone with information about the assailants to come forward to aid in their capture. Tips can be submitted anonymously to the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline or through their website. This high-profile case has aroused considerable public interest, partly due to the brazen nature of the crime and the severity of the assault.

Community leaders and local safety advocates have expressed concern over violence in the area and are calling for increased police presence and surveillance to prevent similar incidents. The incident at Flow Gangsta Tattoo raises questions about safety measures in local businesses, particularly in neighborhoods like Mott Haven, which have struggled with crime rates.

Authorities remain determined to apprehend the individuals responsible for this harrowing crime, as investigations continue. Meanwhile, the local community is left hoping for a swift resolution to this unsettling incident and for measures that will enhance safety and security in the area.
