Harrisburg Man Charged with Murder After December Shooting Ends in Tragic Crash

HARRISBURG, Pa. — A 26-year-old man has been charged with murder following a shooting incident that also resulted in a car crash on December 30, 2025. The Harrisburg Bureau of Police announced the charges against Mar-Quan Long-Mason on Monday, detailing his alleged involvement in the fatal incident that occurred at the intersection of South 25th and Burma streets.

The shooting claimed the life of 20-year-old Mehki Brooks from West Hanover Township, who was found suffering from a gunshot wound at the scene. Emergency responders transported Brooks to the hospital for urgent care, but despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.
