Actor Alan Rachins, known for his roles in “LA Law” and “Showgirls,” passed away due to heart failure on Nov. 2 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles at the age of 82. Rachins received acclaim for his work on television, earning Golden Globe and Emmy nominations and was loved for his role as the free-spirited father in “Dharma & Greg.” He leaves behind his wife, Joanna Frank, and son, who remember him fondly for his vibrant spirit and dedication to his craft.
The music world also mourns the loss of Phil Lesh, a founding member of the legendary rock band The Grateful Dead. Lesh died at 84 on Oct. 25, “surrounded by his family and full of love,” according to a statement released on his Instagram. Adding to the list of entertainers, Sarah Danser, familiar to audiences from the reality show “Naked and Afraid,” died following a car accident in Hawaii on Oct. 22 at the young age of 34.
