HOUSTON, Texas – A tragic incident unfolded at the Westchase Forest Apartments in west Houston on Monday afternoon. According to Houston Police, a murder-suicide took place, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and leaving another person injured.
Witness Christian Velasquez described the harrowing experience, stating that he, his wife, and their 4-month-old son were inside the leasing office when the gunman abruptly entered the premises. He recounted the chaos that ensued as the gunman targeted a woman assisting them in finding an apartment and one of her coworkers.
Velasquez and his family managed to escape the office, but not before hearing the terrifying sound of gunshots. Unfortunately, the gunman ended the life of the woman, injured the man, and then turned the weapon on himself.
In the aftermath of this devastating event, Velasquez encouraged others to seek help and support, emphasizing the importance of utilizing available resources during difficult times. He also expressed his reluctance to consider moving into the apartment complex in the near future.
