Contributing to the issue is the influence of gang cultures from larger cities like London, as observed by the victim of the machete attack who preferred to remain anonymous. He noted a troubling trend among the youth, who appear swayed by the gang lifestyle, engaging in knife carrying and wearing masks to conceal their identities. “It’s a deeper social issue, rooted in the societal glorification of violence through certain music and videos,” he explained.
