CHULA VISTA, CA – A tragic incident unfolded at the San Ysidro Senior Village, where a man is accused of fatally pushing his girlfriend from a third-floor balcony. Albert Turner, 57, made his initial court appearance this week, facing a murder charge in connection with the death of Irene Williams, 61.
The alleged crime occurred on Monday evening, leaving the community in shock. Witnesses reported hearing a heated argument between the couple before seeing Williams fall to her death. Charles Riggle, a neighbor, recounted the harrowing sight of his friend being thrown over the balcony railing.
Authorities stated that the argument escalated when Williams began to throw Turner’s clothing off the balcony. This altercation tragically ended with her fatal fall, resulting in severe injuries that claimed her life.
During Turner’s court appearance, both his and Williams’ families were present. Turner entered a plea of not guilty to the murder charge, as the courtroom atmosphere was charged with emotion.
In response to the tragedy, a memorial has been established outside the apartment complex. The community has come together to pay their respects with flowers and candles, honoring Williams’ memory.
Neighbors and friends are advocating for justice, believing that Turner should be held accountable. The incident has left a lasting impact on the community, which is struggling to come to terms with the loss.
Turner, who has a history of criminal offenses, remains in custody without bail. His next court date is set for June 26, as the case progresses through the legal system.
