LITTLEHAMPTON, England – A man from Littlehampton, England has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for sexually assaulting a woman and subjecting her to a horrific attack. Christopher Holland, 34, was found guilty of intentional strangulation, causing actual bodily harm (ABH), engaging in coercive/controlling behavior, and sexual assault by penetration.
The violent attack took place in November, 2022, when police were called to a property in Brighton after neighbors reported a woman screaming for help. The victim, a woman in her 40s, had suffered significant injuries from a vicious, prolonged assault that lasted over 90 minutes. Holland fled the scene, but was later apprehended and charged with multiple offenses.
During the trial, the victim shared the impact of the abuse, describing how she was left traumatized and physically scarred by the assault. Detective Constable Jess Gwynn emphasized the devastating impact of domestic violence, urging victims to seek help and support from law enforcement.
