Manhunt Intensifies for Suspected Triple Murderer Linked to Tuscaloosa Club Killing and Oklahoma Homicides

Tuscaloosa, AL – Authorities are intensifying their search for a man suspected of committing a series of violent crimes across multiple states, including a recent murder in Tuscaloosa and a double homicide in Oklahoma. Police have identified the fugitive as 50-year-old Stacy Lee Drake, who is believed to have been using numerous aliases to elude capture.

Last month, the body of Russell Andrews was discovered at the local Alconon club, where the suspect allegedly committed the murder before fleeing in the victim’s vehicle. The abandoned vehicle was later found near the Arkansas-Oklahoma border, heightening concerns that Drake might attempt to evade law enforcement across state lines.

Captain Jack Kennedy, who leads the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit (VCU), stated that the suspect had only been in the Tuscaloosa area for a few weeks prior to the homicide, complicating the efforts to track his movements and associations. Despite these challenges, the diligent use of electronic tracking, forensic analysis, and eyewitness accounts enabled authorities to pinpoint Drake as the prime suspect.

“The techniques used in tracking down this individual have demonstrated remarkable coordination and resourcefulness among the different agencies involved,” Kennedy remarked during a press briefing. “Starting with scant information and a misleading identity provided by the suspect, the advancements in our investigative approach have been key in achieving this breakthrough.”

Further complicating the case is Drake’s extensive criminal past, which spans several states and includes charges of robbery, carjacking, and kidnapping. His criminal activities culminated in him becoming a prime suspect in another major crime— a double homicide in Oklahoma discovered on June 18th. The Oklahoma police, along with several federal agencies including the U.S. Marshals Task Force, have joined the nationwide manhunt.

“Drake’s history of violent crimes shows a pattern that cannot be ignored,” Kennedy explained. “The collaboration between state and federal authorities is crucial as we work to prevent him from causing further harm.”

Local authorities, now providing investigative support to Oklahoma and other jurisdictions where Drake might appear, remain on high alert. The current manhunt reflects a significant effort involving diverse resources, from local police detectives to federal agents, all aimed at apprehending a highly mobile and dangerous individual.

The community has been urged to remain vigilant and report any sightings or information that may lead to Drake’s capture. The case continues to develop as law enforcement agencies across multiple states coordinate their efforts to bring this fugitive to justice.

“Keeping the public informed and involved can make a huge difference in cases like this,” Kennedy concluded. “Anyone with information should come forward. It not only aids in our investigation but also helps safeguard our communities from potential harm.”

As this complex investigation continues to unfold, the Tuscaloosa community and surrounding regions hold their breath, hoping for a swift resolution to a case that has gripped the area with concern and apprehension.
