Tuscaloosa, AL – Authorities are intensifying their search for a man suspected of committing a series of violent crimes across multiple states, including a recent murder in Tuscaloosa and a double homicide in Oklahoma. Police have identified the fugitive as 50-year-old Stacy Lee Drake, who is believed to have been using numerous aliases to elude capture.
Last month, the body of Russell Andrews was discovered at the local Alconon club, where the suspect allegedly committed the murder before fleeing in the victim’s vehicle. The abandoned vehicle was later found near the Arkansas-Oklahoma border, heightening concerns that Drake might attempt to evade law enforcement across state lines.
Captain Jack Kennedy, who leads the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit (VCU), stated that the suspect had only been in the Tuscaloosa area for a few weeks prior to the homicide, complicating the efforts to track his movements and associations. His criminal activities culminated in him becoming a prime suspect in another major crime— a double homicide in Oklahoma discovered on June 18th.
