Montgomery County, Maryland – Authorities have apprehended a suspect linked to the fatal shootings of two individuals early Friday in Montgomery County, marking a grim escalation in local crime.
The victims were identified as Marcell Jordan Hebron, 26, and Leilani Marroquin, 27, both residents of Rockville. Hebron was discovered deceased in his car, which bore multiple bullet holes and was stopped at a major intersection. Marroquin was found a few hours later in a nearby parking lot, also a victim of gunshot wounds.
Both victims were pronounced dead at their respective scenes, sparking an immediate homicide investigation by local law enforcement officials. The proximity of the crime scenes and the manner of death led detectives to surmise a connection between the two incidents.
Following a swift investigation, police charged 25-year-old Kaloyan Dimov Stoev with two counts of first-degree murder, along with charges related to firearms violations. Stoev, who was arrested in Rockville just hours after the bodies were found, reportedly was possessing two guns at the time of his capture. He is currently being held without bond.
