Podolsk, Russia – Neighbors of the suspects involved in the Crocus City Hall shooting have shed light on the backgrounds of the individuals, revealing a mix of violent tendencies and professional success. The family members, a father and his two sons, were brought before a Moscow court on suspicion of providing support to the terrorists responsible for the tragic attack at the concert venue.
One of the shooters, Shamsidin Fariduni, known to have recruited the family to assist in his plans, was described as a violent drunkard who threatened a dog walker in a fit of rage. Meanwhile, 19-year-old Muhammadsobir Faizov, another suspect, had a successful career as a barber in Ivanovo, garnering a loyal clientele.
Residents of the building where Faizov resided described him as a hardworking and calm individual, who kept to himself and did not speak fluent Russian. The owner of a barbershop where Faizov worked vouched for his character, stating that he was a diligent employee.
The youngest shooter, Faizov, reportedly expressed remorse for the attack in a private social media post. In contrast, the third shooter, Dalerdzhon Mirzoyev, was known to be an amateur wrestler who frequented a Mixed Martial Arts gym in Novosibirsk.
The family members from Tajikistan, including the father Isroil Islomov and sons Aminchon and Dilovar, were implicated in assisting the terrorists in planning and executing the attack. Both sons are accused of aiding the terrorists, while the father is being held as a suspect.
The attack at Crocus City Hall left 139 individuals dead and over 180 people injured, with 22 victims still in serious condition. Russian President Vladimir Putin labeled the gunmen as “radical Islamists,” while also speculating on the possible involvement of Ukraine, a claim strongly denied by Kyiv.
As investigations continue, the suspects remain in custody, along with a Kyrgyz citizen charged with aiding them in the aftermath of the attack. The tragic event has sent shockwaves through the community, prompting discussions on security measures and the prevention of such heinous acts in the future.
