Murder-Suicide Tragedy: Broken Arrow Police Investigating Deaths of Two Siblings

BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma – The Broken Arrow Police Department is currently investigating a tragic murder-suicide involving two juveniles. The incident, which took place on Sunday afternoon, has left the community in shock and mourning.

According to the police department, they received a distress call and immediately responded to a home near West Florence Street and South Aspen Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered the lifeless bodies of a 17-year-old male and a 14-year-old female inside the residence. The Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office has been called in to conduct an investigation into the deaths.

Police Captain Josh McCoy stated, “Family members had discovered a juvenile male that was deceased, while officers were in-route we got a call that they had located a second deceased juvenile, it was a juvenile female inside the resident as well.” The authorities have withheld the names of the juveniles due to their ages and have confirmed that they were siblings. Additionally, it was reported that the parents were not present at the time of the tragic incident.

The police department emphasized that this was an isolated event and has assured the public that there is no ongoing threat to their safety. Broken Arrow Public Schools has also issued a statement, expressing their readiness to deploy additional counselors for grief counseling as needed.
