Murder-Suicide: Two Men Found Dead with Gunshot Wounds in Tucson Area

TUCSON, Ariz. – Two men were discovered dead on Monday, victims of gunshot wounds in what is suspected to be a murder-suicide on the far northwest side of Tucson. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department made the grim discovery, identifying the deceased as Daniel Kellogg, 18, and John Kellogg, 39.

Deputies responded to a report of suspicious death in the 5000 block of North Blacktail Road at approximately 11 a.m. on February 12. The bodies were found near West Manville and North Trico roads in the Avra Valley. A revolver was found near the men, and it was determined that the two had not been seen since January 26.

The Sheriff’s Department shared in a news release, “At this time, it is believed to be a murder/suicide. This is an active investigation, and no further information will be released at this time.”
