JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Six years have passed since the tragic murder of a young couple and their 10-month-old baby in Arlington. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has recently brought attention back to the case by releasing new details in hopes of finally bringing justice to the grieving family.
In December 2017, 20-year-old Quasean Trotter, his fiancee, 19-year-old Ariyan Johnson, and their baby daughter, Arielle, were found in a burned-down home in Arlington. Trotter and Johnson had been shot to death, while Arielle tragically died from smoke inhalation after the house was set on fire.
Law enforcement and family members are still seeking answers and closure in this devastating case. Andrew Trotter, Quasean’s father, continues to advocate for justice and urges anyone with information to come forward. He is determined to ensure that those responsible for the brutal killings are taken off the streets.
The lack of forced entry into the home has led investigators to consider the possibility that the suspect may have been familiar with the victims. Retired director for JSO, Tom Hackney, emphasized the importance of any small piece of information that could reignite the investigation and potentially lead to new leads.
By shedding light on this unsolved case, the family hopes that someone with crucial information will come forward and assist investigators in solving this tragic crime. They urge anyone with information to reach out to the authorities or Crime Stoppers.
The Trotter family and law enforcement continue to hold out hope that justice will be served for Quasean, Ariyan, and Arielle. The community remains vigilant in supporting their quest for closure and to ensure that those responsible for this heinous act are held accountable.
