Priyanshu Kumar Singh, 24, was allegedly killed by a plot orchestrated by his wife, Gunja Singh, along with her uncle and two accomplices. The events unfolded late on the night of June 24, as Priyanshu returned home from the Nabinagar railway station. According to Aurangabad Superintendent of Police Ambarish Rahul, Gunja had been involved in a long-term illicit relationship with her maternal uncle, 52-year-old Jeevan Singh. Despite family pressure leading her to marry Priyanshu in May, she could not shake off her affair. With her husband’s arrival at the station, Gunja allegedly decided to act on her dark thoughts and plotted his murder instead of revealing her secret.
Reports indicate that Gunja and Jeevan meticulously planned the execution of their scheme. Collaborating with two associates from Jharkhand, they arranged critical logistics, including obtaining SIM cards to maintain communication. On the night of the murder, Priyanshu called Gunja to inform her of his return from Varanasi. Unbeknownst to him, this call provided his killers with the necessary details to ambush him.
