Laskovich lost her life due to a lethal dose of insulin administered by nurse Heather Pressdee. The devastating incident, which occurred 45 days after Laskovich’s admission to the facility, has sparked a wave of legal action by her son, Keith R. Laskovich.
Pressdee, now facing charges in connection with 17 deaths across multiple nursing homes in Pennsylvania, is accused of overdosing patients with insulin, causing unnecessary harm. Shockingly, despite a troubling history of misconduct and patient mistreatment, Pressdee had been employed at 11 different nursing facilities since 2018. The negligence in her hiring and continued employment has raised serious concerns about safety protocols within the healthcare system.
In the lawsuit filed by Laskovich, Sunnyview Nursing Facility is held accountable for what is described as “managerial and operational negligence” in hiring Pressdee.
