Oklahoma City — A local man has received a 10-year prison sentence after admitting to committing a hate crime. Braden Birdsong, 28, was sentenced Thursday following an incident that took place on August 25, 2023, where he attacked a Black man working in a parking lot.
Birdsong confronted the victim, referred to in court documents as D.G., and not only physically assaulted him but also hurled racial slurs during the attack.
