Outrage at AC/DC Concert: Family Seeks Footage After Son’s Shocking Assault by Unknown Attackers

Melbourne, Australia — A harrowing incident at an AC/DC concert has left a local family grappling with both physical injuries and emotional distress after a sudden attack on one of their members. Kelly Warren, owner of Bk 2 Basics in Casey, is seeking help in locating eyewitnesses or footage from the event, which took place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on November 16.

According to Ms. Warren, her son, 26-year-old Keenan Warren, was assaulted during the concert around 9 p.m. by two unknown men. The altercation resulted in serious injuries for Keenan, who suffered a broken nose and damage to both eyes, leading to the possibility of surgery. Ms. Warren stated that her son was simply enjoying the concert when he was unexpectedly attacked from behind.

Witness accounts suggest the altercation was sparked by comments from individuals seated behind the Warrens regarding Keenan’s decision to stand during the show. In a bid to defuse the situation, Craig Warren, Keenan’s father, approached the group to address their remarks. At that moment, two men, who appeared to have no connection to the original confrontation, reportedly struck Keenan violently.

Following the blow, Keenan received immediate medical attention on site while Craig was escorted out by security and law enforcement after attempting to get answers about the attack. “He has never encountered trouble with the law; he was just trying to protect his son,” Ms. Warren explained. The police stated that both father and son were removed from the venue without further incident.

In a letter of complaint to the MCG, the Warrens’ relative, who had gifted the concert tickets, described the incident as “unacceptable and deeply distressing.” She noted that the pair had done nothing wrong by standing to enjoy the performance, which is a common occurrence at concerts. Her message indicated that the aggressive behavior exhibited by the assailants was entirely unprovoked and shocking.

The emotional aftermath of the incident has weighed heavily on both Keenan and Craig, according to Ms. Warren. Their experience underscores the potential dangers lurking at large public events, despite security measures in place. Reports suggest that 24 individuals were evicted from the concert that night, primarily due to disruptive behavior.

MCG officials have yet to respond to inquiries regarding the safety and security measures at the venue. Meanwhile, local authorities continue their investigation and are appealing to anyone who might have witnessed the event or captured it on video to come forward. They can contact Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000 or submit information through their website.
