Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Suspects in Violent Swarming Attack at Oshawa Pizzeria

Oshawa, Canada — Authorities are investigating a violent incident at a Pizza Pizza restaurant that may be linked to hate crime as they seek public assistance in identifying five suspects involved in the attack. The incident unfolded shortly after midnight on Wednesday at the establishment located on Wentworth Street West.

Durham Regional Police reported that a group of teenagers had been causing disruptions inside the restaurant when the victim confronted them. The confrontation escalated when one suspect reportedly jumped behind the counter in an attempt to steal an item, provoking a violent altercation. During this chaos, several other suspects joined in, leading to an assault on the business owner.

According to police, surveillance footage from the restaurant captures the aggressive swarm of individuals attacking the victim. This has prompted investigators to appeal to the community for help in identifying the assailants.

Descriptions of the suspects have been released. The first suspect is a Black female, appearing to be between the ages of 12 and 15, with a slender build, long braids, and last seen wearing a grey T-shirt and spandex. The second suspect, also a Black female of similar age with a light complexion, was reported to have braids tied in a bun and was wearing an orange hoodie and black leggings.

A third suspect, again a Black female, is described as around 11 to 12 years old, with a light complexion and black box braids. She was seen wearing a grey hoodie and black leggings. In contrast, a fourth suspect is identified as a white male with a slim build, dressed in a black hoodie and pants. The fifth suspect, a Black male with a slim build, was reportedly wearing a black mask, a black hoodie, and distinctive black and white Nike Dunk shoes.

The police are urging anyone with information regarding the incident or the identities of the suspects to reach out.
