The distressing event unfolded on May 19 when a 42-year-old woman allegedly targeted the toddler due to her family’s ethnicity. Authorities identified the suspect as Elizabeth Wolf, who reportedly first attempted to abduct a 6-year-old boy present at the scene. Upon the boy’s escape, Wolf then seized the younger child, dragging her into the pool and trying to submerge her. Thanks to the prompt intervention of other pool-goers, the child was rescued unharmed.
Wolf was apprehended by Euless police, initially charged with public intoxication and subsequently with injury to a child and attempted capital murder. Despite the severity of these charges, she was released on bail the following day.
