Restaurant Owner Facing Murder Charge in Delhi Shot Dead by Unidentified Assailants

New Delhi, India: A tragic incident unfolded in northeast Delhi’s New Usmanpur area as a 32-year-old restaurant owner, Sanjay Singh, was brutally shot dead by unknown assailants. The victim, who was facing charges in a murder case, was ambushed near his residence after leaving his restaurant in the early hours of Wednesday.

Upon discovering Singh injured on the road, a friend alerted the victim’s younger brother, Nitin, who operates a dairy business. Nitin hurried to the scene only to find his brother in a critical condition, lying in a pool of blood near Hanuman Mandir Wali Gali service road. Sustaining injuries to the head, shoulder, elbow, and abdomen, Singh was immediately taken to Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital, where medical personnel pronounced him dead upon arrival.

Authorities discovered seven empty bullet shells, four lead pieces, and one live round of 7.65 mm at the crime scene. It was revealed that Singh had been implicated in the murder of a local resident named Ravinder, who resided in the same neighborhood.

Police swiftly initiated investigations to apprehend the culprits behind Singh’s fatal attack. Surveillance footage from nearby CCTV cameras is currently under scrutiny, with law enforcement examining all possible angles of the case in an effort to bring justice to the victim and his family.
