NORRISTOWN, Pa. – Law enforcement officials in Montgomery County are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of four suspects involved in the killing of a 35-year-old man in Norristown on Saturday night.
The incident occurred around 7:49 p.m. when William Grover Carter was assaulted while walking on W. Wood Street. Carter, who had just left a friend’s home, was confronted by three men dressed in black, robbed, and then fatally shot.
Authorities believe the suspects arrived at the scene in a gray Toyota RAV-4, with a fourth individual waiting in the car. The four suspects then fled the scene in the vehicle, which was later found in flames at a different location.
The stolen vehicle had been reported missing from Cheltenham on Dec. 21, and authorities are seeking help from the public to identify the suspects. A reward of $5,000 is being offered for any information leading to the identification and arrest of the perpetrators.
